The chemistry laboratory at CASE provides qualitative and quantitative analyses and characterizations of nearly all industrial-type materials and byproducts. Our ability to identify unknowns often provides crucial keys in determining the causation of product failures and industrial mishaps. Our specialties include adhesives, coatings and plastics as well as cements, plasters and ceramics, woods and metals. Our laboratory is equipped with Fourier Transform infrared and energy dispersive spectroscopy, as well as gas-chromatography, scanning electron microscopy and light microscopy/photography equipment. Our laboratory also employs wet chemical and gravimetric testing services.
